SSG Chris Chong made his final speech as the outgoing Company Sergeant Major (CSM) at the annual Enrolment and Passing out Parade held yesterday.

'Time passed quickly when you do the things you like. It felt like I was appointed last week.

When I was in Sec 1, it was very carefree. With great power, comes great responsibility. As the CSM, I felt the pressure of my responsibility for the development and welfare of boys in the company.

I believe in putting my best effort into everything, with the hunger to make a difference and do things with distinction. These will be the driving force that will push you forward in life to achieve greater things.

The Boys' Brigade equips you with the necessary life skills, and other skills you probably will not have learnt if not for BB.

I also learnt to work with people of diverse abilities. They have now became my brothers in life.

What I am and who we are today, as the outgoing NCOs, would not be have possible without the priceless effort and guidance spent on us, especially from our level primers, and officers.

Last I would like to thank the people from my batch for all the amusing moments and dedication you guys have put in.

OVER MY 4 YEARS IN BB, I CAN CONCLUDE THAT BB IS AWESOME AND THE BEST.

As a tradition, I want to say: We will be back.

To all Boys, I will see you again after our national exams. To the new NCOs, remember this: Position is not always important, Teamwork and Friendship is the key.

Thank you.'
